Bone Spitter

In the fall of 2007 I moved to Guicheng, China an upcoming suburb of Foshan and Guangzhou in Guandong Province, I was about two hours over the border from Hong Kong by car. (That trip is now 21 minutes by high speed train, where you spend most of the time getting in line for immigration and customs.) 

I used to journal in the early morning hours when things were quiet. It was a constant series of adjustments, frustrations, hilarity, vulgarity, and freedom. 

That's the thing that no one tells you as an expat, you will feel free from the Matrix (rat race) and that is worth any challenges to get it.
